Carlos B. Salup, a partner with the firm, has extensive experience successfully representing clients in high exposure and complex matters from the pre-suit investigation phase through jury trial in diverse areas of the law that range from product liability claims and commercial truck accidents to insurance coverage disputes and bad faith claims handling. While zealously and ethically advocating his clients’ interests, Mr. Salup has earned a reputation for paying meticulous attention to detail without sacrificing the importance of being a common sense and big picture lawyer.
Although well versed and experienced in handling business disputes, Mr. Salup devotes and concentrates the majority of his practice to handling wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury claims involving brain injury, paraplegia, quadriplegia, limb dismemberment/amputation, burns, and other significant bodily trauma. His bilingual capabilities routinely allow him to easily work with English-speaking and Spanish-speaking clients but, in addition, Mr. Salup is often called on to handle matters in jurisdictions where Spanish is the more commonly used language such as Puerto Rico.
Mr. Salup is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Coral Gables Bar Association, the Dade County Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Florida Justice Association, and Miami Dade Justice Association where he formerly sat on its Board of Directors. Mr. Salup is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell® and holds a rating of Preeminent through the same registry’s Client Review system.
