Julie K. Talbot, an associate, joined the firm’s Miami office in the summer of 2022. Ms. Talbot currently focuses her practice primarily in the areas of insurance defense and civil litigation.

Ms. Talbot is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology before attending Florida International University College of Law. While earning her Juris Doctorate at FIU, Ms. Talbot worked as a teaching assistant for Legal Research and Writing courses; competed numerous times for the Moot Court Board of Appellate Advocacy; served as the Trial Team Vice President, competing in multiple mock trial competitions; and achieved Dean’s List.

Utilizing her newly minted litigation skills, Ms. Talbot began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender for Miami-Dade County where she represented hundreds of clients on cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felony charges. During her time at the Public Defender’s office, Ms. Talbot polished her litigation skills by conducting hundreds of depositions, litigating a multitude of substantive motions, and trying jury cases to verdict.
